Privacy Policy

Private Baby Tracker is a newborn log for the two of you. It has no server, no account and no advertising, so there is almost nothing for this page to explain.

Effective 9 October 2026.

The short version

No data is collected — by us or by anyone. The app does not have a backend, an advertising network, an analytics service or a third-party SDK. It cannot see your log, your name, your location or your contacts, and it does not use identifiers that could follow you across other apps or websites. In App Store Connect and in the app's own privacy manifest, this is declared as “No Data Collected.”

What the app stores, and where

On your phone
Feeds, diapers, sleep, medicine, notes and the baby's name are written to the app's own database in your device's storage.
In your own iCloud
If you are signed in to iCloud, the same log is also stored in your private CloudKit database, under your own Apple Account, so both of your phones can carry it. Apple encrypts it and we have no way to read it: the container belongs to your account, not to ours. It counts against your iCloud storage.
On your partner's phone
When you invite a partner, you share the log with them through iCloud. That copy exists because you chose to share it, with a person you chose. Either of you can end it in Settings → Log together → Manage.

Permissions the app can ask for

Notifications. Asked for once, after your phones have first caught up with each other, and only so that entries your partner logs can appear on this phone. These are local notifications sent by the app itself. Turning them off changes nothing else, and you are never emailed or messaged.

That is the only permission the app requests. There is no camera, photo library, location, health kit or address-book access.

Taking your data with you, and deleting it

Children

Private Baby Tracker is made for parents and caregivers, and is used by the adult, not the child. The record of a baby is entered and controlled entirely by the adult using the app. Because no data is transmitted to us, we do not collect information about children — or about anyone else.

Medical information

Medicine names, doses, intervals and daily maximums are entered by you, from your pediatrician's instructions. The app reports what was logged and how long ago. It does not advise on doses, does not warn about them, and is not a medical device or a substitute for medical care.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date, and the app's release notes will say so. Nothing about the app's architecture will change quietly: the app has no server to change quietly.
